That's the 1st e-mail to greet my eyes yesterday. From the NIH (NCI). And what excitement it held!

"I’m currently working on issuing the award notice for the subject grant and wanted to provide you with some specific information on the award.
Before I issue the award I wanted to check with you to see if you would like to keep your start date as 4/1, or would you prefer an earlier start date (3/1). If you could email me to confirm your preference on the start date I will be able to proceed with issuing the award notice."

So no knitting post yesterday as DH and I celebrated with an expensive bottle of imported Muscat after dinner. Of course I said start it earlier; it pays my salary!
