Please Tell Me They're Kidding

Just took a peak at the Spring 2007 Interweave Knits. Scroll down, all the way down, past the Swan Lake cardi, past Grumperina's socks. To the thong, the bra, the seemingly-endless camisoles and bare-all bandeaux and tank tops. They're kidding, right? That thong alone will give me nightmares, not for the knitting, for the thought of someone wearing it. Ya know, it was 'cause of chalooshesdik* (the ch is gutteral, like you have to cough something out of your throat) stuff like this I gave up my subscriptions to Vogue Knitting, Knitter's, Interweave Knits, and Cast-On (and with giving up the last, gave up hope of ever becoming a Master Knitter but c'est la vie, I refuse to plunk down my hard-earned $$ for TGKA and Cast-On).

*chalooshesdik Yiddish via some Eastern European language for truly, utterly awful and in the worst of taste.

C'mon. the bra is even funnier. The thong looks, well, take your pick:

tacky
uncomfortable
silly
offensive
hilarious
chalooshesdik

The bra was funny but didn't strike me the way the thong did. My 21 yr old daughter looked at the thong and said, yeast infection. Add unhygienic to your list.
