Last week while attending a meeting at the VA (Veterans' Administration Hospital), I heard rumors of yet another breach in security of personal personnel data:
Do I need this headache in my life? No, I do not. Since I go to the local VA on a regular basis because - in theory - I have a funded VA grant, which they tell me they will activate any day now, I have good cause to worry. Those !@#$%* know my social security number, my home address, whom I'm married to, and when they start paying me, my bank info! Which is why, as I have been telling people for years, I knit - it's a legal, non-narcotic tranquilizer. After a busy day, knit 3 rows of a boring pattern and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....................
